Wow! I wasn't sure how you were going to stretch hummous into two-parts but now I understand! YOU SOAK YOUR BEANS!!!You are a better, braver, more patient cook than I am by far! I rush to the canned variety. I can't wait to see how you make it...with soaked beans I bet it's so much lighter and fluffier. Mine tastes good but goes on bread like spackle.
