From the crypt-
Before 9/11- life seemed uncomplicated to me. In the late 80's I went to a Free Nelson Mandela march down Park Ave. I also hung around people who smoked weed but that's besides the point. When I served in the military, NATO and the UN gave us medals for going to Bosnia and being peacekeepers. It really felt great.
When I returned to NYC, I attended a counter demonstration against the KKK.
